Interpreting The Time on An Airline Ticket

When travelling, you must pay maximum attention to the details of the time in your airline ticket. This is very important because if a ticket is not properly interpreted, you can miss your flight, thereby resulting in more expenses.

Most persons cannot tell when they are to arrive at the airport to board, and when they will arrive at their destination. This is as a result of their inability to interpret the time on their tickets.

You must be able to tell beforehand when you are to depart from your country and when to arrive at the country of your destination.

This is done first,  by knowing the time difference between your country and the country of your destination. The time difference will aid you in interpreting your departure time where the flight is leaving and your arrival time where your flight is landing at the different locations where your flight will cross.

For example,  if you are using Turkish Airways, departing from Nigeria to China, your flight will stop at Istanbul, Turkey and then to China.  Your departure time will be according to Nigeria time,  when stopping at Istanbul your arrival at that time will be according to Turkey time,  and then, when arriving finally at your destination, the arrival will be according to China time.

So also,  when returning from China to Nigeria, your departure time will be according to China time, hence, no need interpreting your ticket according to Nigeria time, which is the country where you originally departed from,  and your arrival at Istanbul will be according to Turkey time and finally , your arrival in Nigeria will be according to Nigeria time.

To help you properly interpret your ticket, learn to set your time on your watch or phone to the time of the country you are arriving at, at every point in time.

In summary, you interpret your ticket according to your present country of residence.

And the success of your journey will be determined by how well you can interpret your ticket, especially the timing for arrival and departure on the ticket.
